Worried??

ok so i waited for my tank to cycle. it paided off in a big way. coralline is growing crazy and water pram;s have stayed perfect. fuge diy works great i have zero everything. got a purple tang for a week or longer doing really good pics later.. then recent got a blue hippo and he is the question. he is swimming up and down the glass trying to stay in the current of the output and or powerhead. he goes up and down and then brakes once in a while and swims out to eat. no ick or bad spots. kinda breathing hard but not sure if still stressed or??? i have had him for 2 days but i have never had a blue hippo before. but the purple tang eats a ton a ton ton ton of seaweed like a piranha is that normal?? haha

Blue Tangs will do wierd stuff compared to other tangs--especially the first few days. IE swim sideways--look dead etc. dont worry.

 

How big is your tank btw??

 

I second that. I've seen mine sleep upside, sleep vertically, naps in the middle of the day on the sand making you think it's dead Tons of personality though.

 

the tank is a 90 gal. alright thanks he dose eat when i put brine and myist (sp) in there. about how long ill normal fish habbits for he or she?? its funny bc every time i walk near the tank or go to feed the purple tang like trys to protect me its funny there is a big size difference in the two purple rubs his back fin to let blue know whos tank it is
