o here's another one i think i heard on this fourm where someone had a stocked tank outside and noticed all the corals and inverts were dieing and took down the tank only to see someone had tossed in a penny (copper) thinking it was a wishing pond

that sounds like a tall tail to me, around 1980 penny composition switched and since then all pennies made are 98% zinc.

I have experienced the anemone nuking personally, but for the worse way, I am going to go with skinny kid weightlifting fail.

Actually the change happened around 1980, but the final product of 98% zinc wasn't "set in stone" until 1982. In those two ish years, the government was just playing with the composition and trying to find a good combo. That's why 1982 and earlier pennies are so much thicker and differently colored than 1983 and above pennies. Yay Chemistry class...I did a project on this one :p

And I don't know about you guys...but his muscles are pretty toned for a "skinny kid". Yeah, they aren't huge, but pretty defined. His little girlish voice calling "mama! mama!" however isn't very manly.

Back in '95 I had a 29g FO. Four or five fish, a CBS, brittlestar, CC star and a hermit crab. My wife and I had split up and we were living in separate residences. Our apartment had my antique dresser and the fish tank. That's it. It sat next to the sliding glass door. It was the middle of winter. See where this is going?

She accidently (yes, I believe it....she is/was not the type to kill a tank) left the slider open. When I got to the tank three days later, the temp was about 60 degrees. The heater was trying, but not keeping up. Everything was dead.....except the CBS. Tough little bugger.

I was just giving her guff about that tonight in fact (we remarried several years later). "Remember the old tank honey? The one you killed?......;)"
