How easy is it to repair scratches in acrylic?

Would anybody think this is a good deal? I'd be building a new stand for the tank.

Edit - not considering the acrylic tank anymore. Looking at a 175 glass this afternoon.

I think it's a bit dirty looking and I think the pictures aren't very good. If in fact they are "minor scratches" I wonder if they can be taken out.

i think acrylic is pretty easy to repair as long as its not in use during the repair

Any good kits / removers that folks have had experience here with? For this price it seems like a good deal just for the tank alone.
