    Well this sucks.

I went and looked at the tank, and it was awesome, except that the folks were stupid when they took it down. It was in mint condition, dual internal overflows, all bulkheads and plumbing (standpipes, 2 sump returns with hose fittings, flow accelerators, etc. etc.). Dark blue acrylic background. Euro-braced. It came from an office building that was taken down. Well, when they drained the tank, they tried to take the sand out by tipping it, it seems, and the sand scratched the front of the tank. Further scratching caused by wiping the sand from the front. :( It would take hours to restore the finish - the scratches are just surface scratches, but I'm not sure if I would be able to make it look good again.

Ive used the Novus product on my windshield for my Harley Davidson that had deep scratches and it worked great. It came out like new again. took some work though but it was well worth it in the long run

That's cool. I decided against the tank as I don't have that kind of time to put into it.

I'm looking at a 175 gallon glass this afternoon - apparently there are no scratches or anything on it and has been taken good care of. Hopefully, it checks out - the guy used it for saltwater and was adamant there are no chips / scratches.... hopefully I can bring this beast home today.
