Now would be the best time to invest in some Ground Fault Circuits. I think that would of saved you.
Sorry for the loss, makes me glad I spent the extra money on GFCI.

wow, sorry to hear that man.. thats a scary situation.. i cant believe ANYTHING survived that.. but glad to hear you didnt meet the same fate as your LR!! things will turn around for you, hang in there "lucky" (and yeah GFCI are a great investment, as well as a battery backup UPS for cannister filters and such - power out means bad news for them things)

to add insult to injury, not 30 mins after all that happened,I thought the net died on my pc, but come to find out, the laptop works fine on the network, just the desktop is not working on it. Its in the fish room as well, but on a different outlet. So I got some investigating to do there.

thanks for all the offers yall!

    ***Update***

Well apparently, the heater went haywire, started cooking everything, evaporated the water down to where it exposed about 2"s of the heater. I don't know how that happened without boiling it cause 20-30 mins prior to that it seemed fine. The exposed part of the heater is what shattered, water got in it and yall know the rest.

I dont know how long it took the breaker to trip, but I do know it didnt trip for atleast 1 min when I flipped it back on cause I had to time to look around and see what it was and time to flip the switch on the surge protector(dont why that never tripped either). Unplugged the heater, the rest of the equipment is fine, just nothing alive.
