I would appreciate any help I can get to get going! I've had some mushrooms, polyps and a kenya tree going for about a month now and they're growing like gang busters, and would love to expand! But I'm trying to keep updating the system to get it as good as i can afford! Would love some help in some beginning starting softies! Xenia, yellow polyps, etc, something with some color so my GF will stop complaining it needs to be prettier!lol
Thx for any help or suggestions!

there really arent a bunch of colorful softies to choose from as i am going thru the same with my wife.So ive found the torch coral, frogspawn, duncans and a lil pricey but dendrophylia. Also gregonians are nice looking but they are expert corals as they are hard to keep.

Who said they aren't colorful? Ricordia, acan, trumpets, zoas and many more can be extremely colorful

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If you have not considered joining a local reefing club you may want to.

The free and discounted corals you can get is amazing, not to mention the interactions with other reef nerds and exchange of knowledge.

Usually the LFS knows the nearest club.

    ebay my friend, ebay!

There are alot of sellers out there (with ebay research), that for probably +/- $100 plus shipping could easily get you 8-10 frags.

Like mentioned about your best bet would still probably be a local club, followed by some craigslist posting & searching.

thanks for the help all, unfortunately the nearest reef club is 2 1/2 hours away! I'm talking with a guy on ebay now! 5 zoas with 10 polyps each for $100 with shipping! Seems reasonable to me! plus if they're half as colorful they'll be great!
happyreefing is his name and his store is zoantharia! Greeat looking zoa's! gonna get one that he calls la lakers(whom i hate) but its a pretty cool purple and yellow one! Check him out! If you've bought from him let me know! Thanks!
