hope your tank is established enough for a mandarin. chalk basslet may hassle your firefish but not sure.

Have you checked WetWebMedia.com? That tank is too small for a mandarin, bro, and you need a lot more live rock, unless you seriously plan to supplement its feeding and more with the Chalk Bass...

A 80g is more than enough for a mandarin if it doesn't have too much in the way of food competition. I'm not saying it's appropriate for THIS tank (which is already fully stocked, IMO). If they say that on WWW, they are out to lunch on that one.

I had one in a 44g for 5 years that I didn't feed at all. O.O After that it went to a 55g and lived another 3 years. But in the 55g it ate frozen, thankfully, because it has a wrasse and a pipefish to compete with.

Do you have a lid? Do you have or have plans for keeping corals?

When your current fish get to adult size, they we produce quite a bioload as it is.

not that i know a hole lot but it seem to me that your tank isn't very old. i'ld wait another 6 months before considering even adding anymore fish. let the tankcatch up nad the consider adding more for but only one at a time and wait for your tank to do its thing as far as catch up and handling the extra load. the go slow and take it slow slogan is not to be messed with.;)
