Would it be possible to put 2-4 600 Powerheads (not sure what the 600stands for its the smallest.. yea smallest type my lfs sells) inside of a 55gallon FOWLR tank w/o a filter? It will have a sump/fudge, protien skimmer and all that good stuff.. just wanting to eliminate my filter.. if I need more or less or something better tell me.. I'm going to have a total of right at 70LBS of LR so..I want it to act as a natural filter...

the 600 should have a gph after it and it means gallons per hour. Most people have a sock or something to catch debris. Anything can be done but you might have to clean your tank more since you wont have a mechanical filter. Otherwise you will have detrius floating in your tank that would of been pulled by your filter. So your params will rise soon and you will wonder why. But lr is always a good filter but it can only do so much. I have 2lb / gal. and still have a sock.

You can get away with no filter as long as you have enough LR and your skimmer is a powerful one.
