I have been wanting to try Mesh style filter socks and have a Amazon Gift certificate. The only problem is, I am having trouble finding a 200 micron mesh sock. For my particular setup I don't need a sock with a ring, but if it has it that is ok too.

I found this and it sounds like it may work...but it is not listed as a "pet supply":

    What do you guys think?

do not feel qualified to say if this product is suitable for reef tank applications
but I do want to ask are you sure you need a 200 micron sock

I tried a 100 micron sock recently, and found it next to useless at removing majority of particulates that my reef tank has, majority, just went right through it

some filter matting , is much more effective at trapping detritus than a 100 micron sock

if you want a filter sock for trapping fine particulates coming from your overflow
then you want something smaller than a 200 micron sock IMO

the smaller the number, the finer the particles it will trap
a 1 micron sock traps smaller particles than a 5 micron sock etc etc
