would this work for a 40 gallon breeder

that is true and if i really needed wiring help i could just ask my dad (was power maintenance in the air force for 20 years) so idk im still weighing my options out right now. i have awhile before i even need the led. still need the RO/DI, ATO, build my sump, see what corals i want, finish making my DIY live rock and curing it. modifying my stand. i have a good few months before i really need to get the LED and you never know with xmas approaching fast i might wait just to see if the stores do any xmas sells hehehehe i love me a good deal lol

 

What kind of corals were you planning to keep? I'm guessing SPS?

 

idk what type of coral. which one is the easiest to keep our is that all a matter of opion. this is my first reef tank and i wana start off with simple coral.

 

Start off with softies then. Colt & Kenya tree usually grow like weeds and can actually be a nuisance if not kept in check. Xenia & Anthelia are pretty much the same. Mushrooms & leathers are probably next easiest. Then maybe Zoanthids/polyps. They are relatively easy as well.

With the reefbreeders light you will be able to grow any coral(soft, lps, sps). I would agree with starting off with softies first. I'd go with zoa's and mushrooms first then adventure into lps and sps.

 

ive seen alot of Zoanthids/polyps/mushrooms and thats what i had planed on trying cause they were all just so beautiful

 

So will that light work for those

 

yes this fixture will grow all corals in a 40 breeder. get the 120w value fixture and hang it about 12" above the water.
