If I remember right bubble plates are practical under circumstances other than the hobbyist. The cone shape of the reactor creates an access problem and is not optimum for other reasons. Motor parts corrode, make noise and heat eventually. I wouldn't touch that sump. IMO not very well designed.

The tank and stand are beautiful. Build your reef one and done piece at a time. Plan on using what you buy for the rest of your life. Buy the tank and stand only then the sump and skimmer from reef dynamics or same through one of our sponsors. A Geissmann Tesla LED on top would be MINT.

Buy your build one piece at a time and keep reading CORAL.

    Best Regards

Are you freaking serious?? I have one full of saltwater on the second floor of a rental three story condo!

And to the OP, I don't like my tank anymore. It's a dumb design in my opinion. My next tank will be rectangular.

    I Agree With Jason

Non-Glass tanks are horrible and Bowfront design does not light well.

If I bought again it would be a starfire cube fit to oneED fixture w/four or five microprocessors in it and at least 200 to 250 lumens/watt output (TESLA.) I would put a few Vortec MP 10s for flow.

Bow front designs don't light up well? Tell that to my corals! They seem to think they get light up pretty dang well!
As for them being totally unstable? Sounds like you got a manufactured defect. I've heard nothing about them being less stable then any other tank.

Google 72G bow front. About 4 years ago there was was a problem with all glass and Oceanic tanks. I don't think there was ever a problem with the larger tanks or the 180 tanks.

I'm not saying ever 72G bow is bad, and yes you can light them just fine just there was issues with them.

LPS and softies are easier to light.

    but...

You have to be very particular in many ways with sps. I need to cram six 4 foot Giessmann T-5 ' from edge to edge on top of my All Glass 90 to get enough T-5 light into them. No chiller needed and growth is robust.
    lighting:
    2- 20,000 k
    2- 15,000-20,000 k blend
    2- 6,000

    Modify The Sump

Again, this is a tank and stand to die for. If for whatever reason you buy it with the problematic sump system, make sure to remove all filter padding. Give the detritus a chance to make it to the skimmer otherwise nitrates will go higher. The padding might be there to compensate for possible dynamic skimmer and/or sump shortcomings.
