i've got this spot in my rock i'd like to put a frag plug. the plug is just a wee bit too wide.

i can't take out this rock - it's epoxied in and all that.

I'm thinking I'll just get a clean screwdriver, shove it in the hole and grind it out a little (in the water). I'm sure it'll put particles up - I can deal with all that.

So, would you use a flat head screwdriver for that or do you have a better idea?

file down the plug, otherwise I think you would be fine with a screw driver and the rock. As long as there is not oil or residue of something bad on the driver

I'd do it. Just make sure you clean the screw driver up really good first. Even a new one will have to be washed because it will have oils on it from when it was machined.

Lowes and HD sell them. But both their websites were designed by monkeys. It'll be in the electrical section (tools). from 18" to 6'.

If the screw driver is extremely clean then I believe it would be fine. Personally, I'd either file the plug down or find a new spot for the coral before I put something that could possibly harm my tank in the future. A small bit of metal could cause problems.
