Wow I am dumb

So any ideas on what happened? personally I just think it was some weird accident cause my params were perfect and everything else in the tank is fine. Any other opinions though?

 

Did he jump out???? Fish jump out and land in the weirdest places. Believe me, I have had aquariums since I could walk.

 

I checked everywhere around the tank and the tank is covered also

 

You might want to check further from the tank and under stuff (couch, bed, whatever room it's in)...fish can flop really far once on the floor!

What's in the CuC? Nassarius & hermits or other crabs?

 

21 Nassarius, 50 dwarf ceriths, 9 florida ceriths, 14 hermits, and 15 nerites

Also the tank is a 60g with a 20g long fuge.

 

Oh Lord. The nassarius alone would wipe that out when they got a scent of dead fish on the sandbed. not to mention 14 hermits. 10 nassarius could take out a 4 in wrasse in 5 hours, not to mention + hermits.

 

Oh ok, that makes alot more sense. I did have John design me a strong CUC so I guess it paid off? haha

 

+1 on the Nassarius Snails. They love their meat and consume it in no time flat. If you fish did die, those alone would devour it.

 

Yeah, the nassarius would make quick work of it. Sometimes they don't even wait until stuff is completely dead...

 

I woke up to my melanurus cruising around the tank...I have no idea where he was hiding but I am glad I didn't kill him ;D
