Hey bud, I am not trying to tell you what to do...just some friendly advise. You have a nice, uncompleted 50g tank. I went from a 29 to 90 to a 180 last year. Once the 180 was up, I realized how much electricity a big tank can suck and how much time it takes to maintain vs. time spent enjoying it. Now I am back to a 29 (well sort of, in a nanocube till the 29 is finished). Just do the 50 right and let it grow. In the long run, unless you have money to throw out, I have found that smaller tanks with great equipment is better than a big tank with good equipment. Now on my 180 I had high end equipment but I can only imagine what my 29 would look like now if I would have forked that money into it.

Do I get to count my 4 year old's guppies and feeder gold fish?

10 marine fish for now. Once the 210 breaks in it will go up.
