    why is it referred to as 'spawning' is the organic material eggs to breed new acro or clam? thats why i was confused. i guess i dont know how acro or clams reproduce come to think of it.

    they spit out gametes which are the reproductive cells that most sexual organisms possess (egg and sperm for us)
    but their gametes are free floating in the water column, they meet, fuze, and then go through a few pupal stages until they come to rest on a rock or other suitable surface. then it slowly grows from there!

    neat. so he didnt care about the acro spawning but didnt want a ton of clams. i understand his desire/need to do a water change now... thx

    I have to agree. It is a nice looking tank, but getting all sorts of custom things isn't cheap along with all the equipment and what not.

    I would chose to get the tank not the car, But this tank for me if i was to buy all at once would spell devorce.

    Chances of even a single clam making it are really small... But I guess possible. They just put out sooo much gametes that it really destroys your water quality...

    Wow this a really big tank. Must cost a fortune. I also agree about some people having too much money though..
