I have been looking around for a new fish to add to my tank and i am interested in hearing what people have to say about them. I am looking to get a helachores of some type, probably a melanurus. I have done a good bit of research but i have heard that they will eat bristleworms big and small. This is a positive thing IMO because i have some big bristles that i dislike.(yes i know that they are good, i have my reasons for disliking the big ones) I am not worried about extinction because i have hundreds in my refuge. Please do not start giving me info on bristleworms, i have done my research. Anyways, i would be greatful to hear some info on these fish. Thanks

I have never gotten one because I love my feather dusters--they would eat them.

eels ... ;D gotta love them eels! and most are safe with alert small fish

they are fun to feed ...

my white mouth loves FOOD ... raw shrimp and Silversides
    my Zebra loves raw shrimp
my Snowflake likes shrimp and once in a while silversides.

... but I like snakes and Bichir's too!

i disagree with the sixline... I have had one that was so aggressive that once i added that fish it wouldnt allow me to add any other fish in the tank. This was not limited to other wrasses. As far as reef safe wrasses are concerned the pseudocheilinus wrasses (aka lined wrasses) are known to become the most aggressive. Personally id go with something a bit more peaceful that has a better track record over a length of time like a halichores sp. or paracheilinus sp. or something more along those lines. If you add a sixline wrasse and later decide you may want to add any other wrasse GOOD LUCK!!
