ive got two wrasses in my tank none of them have ever tried to jump, i want to take my lid off buti just dont want to risk it. I have an eggcrate lid with screendoor material ontop. With the screen door material over the eggcrate there is no possible way that either wrasses can jump. But i want to take it off, would the wrasses be able to fit through the holes of the eggcrate? My McCoskers is probably only 2 inches and my melanurus 3-4 and i know theres no way for him to fit through so im just worried about the McCoskers. You think i should be ok with just the eggcrate?

yea a lot of fish are known to go carpet surfing. if you get a lid just make sure you dont get a glass lid

My flasher never tried to jump either. I think the chances of your flasher making it through the egg crate are pretty slim, so I wouldn't worry about it.

it would take a perfect jump for the mccoskers to make it through. could happens, chances are slim. one way around it , is to get it really, really fat. :) so it might only get suck. lol

You should make a mesh lid like I have. It blocks practically no light and looks nice.
