So I have a 29g cube and I have a 6 line Wrasse that I love. However I wanted clowns so I got a pair. These are the only fish in the tank. I have an electric blue crab, a red leg crab, an emerald crab, 2 pepermint shrimp, a cleaner shrimp and 3 astrael snails and 2 corals.
Unfortuanely the Wrasse seems to be terrrorizing the clowns and damaged one and I think he is dying.
So do I get rid on the Wrasse? and get another clown if this one dies. Or do I abandon clowns altogether and try something else?
I am confused what to do at this point.

Try segregating the wrasse in a QT or a refugium for a while if you can. It might just help the clowns establish and make the wrasse feel like the newbie in the tank.

its your choice really, do you prefer 6 lines or a pair of clowns?
its an odd territorial dispute IMO as I am aware of many tanks that have both species in without issues
you may have a rogue 6 line, and an alternative 6 line may not pose such problems

if it where me, Id remove the aggressor and hope the clown recovers
Id remove the aggressor simply because it may focus its attention on the next clown/ or the other clown or in fact anything else you added in future

ya and also the size of the clowns or sixline matter if the sixline is bigger then thats probubly your issue. sixlines will also be very hard to catch even in a 29 gallon. another question is how long have you had the clowns in for. if you just got them it might just take a little while for everything to settle out. Personnally i think clowns are awesome and are probubly a lot easier to catch than sixlines so i would catch them and get a bigger pair of clowns. and make sure the clowns arent the same size because they will fight over who gets to become the female so get one bigger and one smaller one

I have taken the wrasse out of the tank and is in a QT right now. I think the clown is about to die anyway. I almost had to tear the tank apart to get the wrasse out.
I am going to take him back to my LFS. So if this clown dies I need to get rather a larger or smaller one so they won't fight? Is this true?

Sorry to hear of the situation coming to this. The clowns will still have their "arguments" but they will be much less severe.

Yes. Get a bigger or smaller clown than the one you already have. They will still squabble a bit, but the size difference should help it die down quicker.
