Will a Fairy Wrasse live with a 6 Line? I thought maybe because they were from different genuses they might.

Wrasses generally don't get along together, however you could get lucky. I wouldn't count on it though.

i have a sixline and a banana wrasse together in a 150, i dont have a problem, probably because of the size of the tank

I would not try it...We added a fairy wrasse to one of our larger tanks that already had a sixline in it. The sixline who is a very passive fish, for the most part nearly killed the fairy wrasse. We were able to pull her out and add her to one of our other tanks. Also, be careful they are bigger jumpers then the sixline...8)

Thats what I thought, especially since the 6 line is already established in the tank. I would think you'd need a 6 foot tank.

Going on "getting lucky" isn't fair to the animals. I wouldn't want to go on that basis. I would only try this if there is a good chance of success.

I have a 6 line and a McCosker's Flasher wrasse together and they get along for the most part. The 6 line was established. I think if you have enough rock in your tank to allow for each fish to have a safe spot will make it easier for the fish to get along.

I'm not sure if I'll go for this yet. I'm leaning towards give it a shot. My motives for doing it are that I have about 110 pounds of live rock which is a pretty good amount, the tank is reasonably large (although not large enough for them to avoid each other), and the 6 Line has never bothered anyone, and some will be aggressive to fish other than Wrasses. My ideas against it are that wrasses seem to more often fight than not, and if they start to fight I probably won't be able to get one out before it dies. I'm torn. What would you guys do?
