Okay, so people on here have convinced me to look into getting a wrasse. I think their coloring is absolutely beautiful, but the way they swim kind of drives me crazy. But I'm willing to look into them because of their coloring and nice temperament.

So, please tell me your favorite type of wrasse and why. You will be rewarded with karma! Thank you!! :)

Ultimate favorite is the Hawaiian Flame Wrasse.

Only other one I would have is a Black Leopard Wrasse.

I like my Radiant Wrasse. So far it is very well-mannered. It's always looking around and the rocks for pods and such. One think to watch for is that lots of wrasses are jumpers so you may need a lid. The radiant wrasse is a diver. If it gets spooked it dives into the sand.

Stay away from six-lines. They get aggressive when they get older. The LFS I bought the radiant from said he would never sell anybody a six-line.

I should receive my McCoskers Wrasse tomorrow. Picked it for the colors, advertised temperment and ease of care. We shall see.

I'm so excited, Mikejrice taught me how to multiquote today!! :) Okay, those are all very pretty! I like red velvet best out of those.

I LOVE the leopard wrasse, but liveaquaria says expert only. Do you think that's true? I had never seen the Hawaiian Flame Wrasse before, it is amazing!! I'll do some research on those.

Not such a fan of the fairy wrasse coloring for some reason. I've heard they are great fish though. The Melanurus Wrasse is really cute! I've never seen those before. I'll do some research on the little guy.

The Flasher Wrasse are really pretty and peaceful is good. Thanks!

I have no interest in six lines. I've heard they can be mean and I don't find them all that pretty. Does the radiant make a mess of your sand bed? Or is it not a problem? It sure is a pretty fish!

Thanks for all the great ideas!! I'm writing all these names down and I'm going to do a lot of research! Thanks again!

If I get another wrasse, it will be a mystery wrasse. I don't want a very expensive fish to turn into a crisp on my floor though.
