So my Xenia seems to be doing good. It's always out and pumping. Yet every day i find yet another piece that broke off from the colony. The pieces that do break off seem to lay on the sand or wherever they get stuck, open and pumping. But they are too small to "attach" anywhere.

I read that they like strong current. Is there such thing as too strong?

I have two EcoTech 10s in my 55g tank and it does not seem too strong anywhere.

Is it normal for pieces Xenia to keep breaking off?

They're never too small to attach LOL. Put some rock rubble where you often find them on the sand.
