pretty positive pom pom xenia is a slower grower than the other pulsing xenia. I got both at around the same time, 4 months later my pulsing xenia has tripled in size, sprouting heads like mad, on the other hand, my pom poms are pulsing nicely but have grown very little. I do notice the heads are longer and maybe a few more have sprouted but not anywhere near as the other xenia.

The Xenia Elongata grows like a weed. In a 180 I had about 10 years ago I used to pull out literally about a gallon of the stuff each month to give away.

Frankly I will NEVER come close to putting that stuff in any of my tanks ever again. It takes over and becomes a royal pain.

The Pom Pom grows slower but is a much more viable tank inhabitant since it doesn't take over.
