how did you acclimate it? what is the temp? salinity? was the xenia upright at the lfs? most times the transportation and acclimation make them temporarily whither so i wouldnt worry much

Any pics?? That might help.. If you jus bought it I would wait a little for it to settle down.. ( you just added it to the tank? I'm assuming..)

right. just get it secured and leave it be for a bit. takes coral a bit to get adjusted to things in general.

how you acclimate them is important. I believe this is after the fact though. It is important to slowly mix your tank water into the water it came from to get the two param sets to equalize or so. And not letting any LFS water into your own tank.

    good luck.

Xenia are either hit or miss, when I got mine it looked great for a couple of days, then it wilted and the stems detatched from the base and dissolved. Now you may think it's dead, it's not. Mine took over a month to come back, and came back with bigger and more heads too. If this happens, just leave the base alone and be patient. Hurry up and wait....

I can't keep xenia and i'm actually thankful of that. Either you can or you can't, but if you can, it can be hard to control and in my opinion, just as desirable as aiptaisia.

I have herd this a lot, I'm glad mine came back and is growing at a slow and steady rate. Wish mine would take off, the LFS can't keep it in stock, good trading material for me.....
