Xenia help ASAP

i have 2 types of xenia in my nano, they are not at all touching each other and i have 2 frags of pom pom xenia, the one pom pom that ive had for a while looked really good for the 1st week then slowly stopped pulsing and the new on i just got is pulsing like crazy, the new one has great color and stuff, but the old one seems like it has just like gotten old and is really lazy, it still comes out and stuff but isnt pulsing....please help

i dont have a calcium tester but i added some yesterday, and also added Iodine.

i have one 65w actinic and a 65w 10,000k coral life thanks for anyone who can help;D

 

Xenia will do that at times Do you have it in good flow?
Your nitrates are up but xenia tends to like that
You should NOT routinely dose iodine in a tank esp if you dont test for it. Can cause some serious problems. Also same with calcium...not a good habit to dose those things without checking levels, esp in a nano

ok cool cool, yeah im not dosing anymore until i get a tester, and do you think maybe its going through a phase or something maybe should i move it around some or what, and ihave it in a tiny bit of flow.

 

Yeah Iodine is something I rarely dose, if at all. I tend to stay away from it and just keep up with my water changes.

 

yeah, idk im just in love with my xenia and really want it to dooo gooodd haha

 

just make sure it has flow and it should be fine and trust me its really moody
