xenia lighting requirements

    Ok I have done my homework and some say it requires light and others say it doesn't because pumping xenia is a filter feeder. My hubby has NO lighting with 18000k lights, would it be enough for xenia or no?

    It is primarily photosynthetic so it does need light.

    You could try it, I'm not sure it would work.
    The more light the faster they grow.

    without light they will surely die.they need at least 3 watts per gallon.

    We grow them at out aqua culture facality under 175's 10K with 2 VHO over every grow out tank. We have the Blues ,silver, white and brown and they all grow faster then I can trim them..
