Hey All, I got some Xenia a few days ago from the LFS. I was told on another thread that they should be in low flow and high light. The problem that I am having is I cannot get them in a low flow area unless they are on the bottom of the tank. Here is a pic of my tank so you can better understand my problem.
I have a Mag 7 coming from the sump and it enters the tank in the middle. There is no way I can think of to slow down the flow. I am using 110 watts of power compacts and a 25 watt fluorescent. The tank is a 75 gal. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brandon

i have alot of them and i have mine in medium flow and they love it more but i would put them up higher in the tank they love the light.

i put them on the right on the top of that tall rock. let them grow awhile and get a bit biger and frag them. thats what i have done some times they spred by them selfs. its like one of the easiest corals to frag.

    good luck

    from my limited exp

they will move to where they want to go, at least mine do. I tried to put mine off to the side of the tank but they are steady splitting and moving themselves where they want to go

If you don't want to start mowing these things down you need to put them on top of a rock like at the tip of it and make sure they CAN NOT touch anything else or they will grow to it and spread like a weed. Also make sure the flow is not pushing them towards other rocks or the wall because they will attach to it and spread. If you keep them segregated the will grow tall. Just my $.02
