xenias attached to big rock!

    anemone is close too xenias can i rip the xenias off my big rock and move them i would move the rock but the nem is attached to the bottom of rock. i ahave a ph towrad it ,it seems to be running (nem) away will see

    if ya rip it. you can bet the left over stalk will grow new ones

    What is your objective here?

    Personally, I'd just let the anemone (hopefully) keep the xenia in check...


    ALso, be careful as hell ripping at xenia in your tank. Any little piece that comes off will latch onto some rock in a terrible place and spread like mad.

    Xenia removal is best done outside of the tank...


    Will most likely have to kalk paste where the xenia was otherwise it will come back...

    I used to have some pulsing xenia... got sick of it and nuked the rock it was on...

    Gently pulling it usually works, or better yet put another smaller rock higher in its path and let it climb up onto that rock then you can move it wherever you want.
