You guys are killing me! im dying to get a marine tank going and it keeps falling through.
Whats a general cost to get a nano up and running?
Whats the smallest tank i could put a dwarf lion in and what kind of corals can i keep with him?

Dont know about the lion, but the pico was around 50.00. I added a heater and 5lb of liverock, maybe 4lbs of sand, and a Chromis. Total cost so far. about 120.00, up and running. Optional equip...I added a small powerhead from an old tabletop fountain. I added a digital timer from wal-mart for the lights. 9.99. Here is my thread if you are interested.

thats not bad at all. I was looking at nanocubes and biocubes and some other little tanks on drs foster and they run around 200.
Just did a little reading and dwarf lions need 30 or bigger. gonna have to wait on that one. Where do you get the Picotope
Nevermind its right there on Dr fosters.

I agree. I may be upgradeing the lights when I start to get corals for it (not sure yet). I havent determined if a bigger filter will actually be needed at the moment. With very minimal live stock the LR should handle the majority of the filtration. (I hope :))
