Yellow leather toadstool crashing at night

    :confused: Not sure why but in the morning it rises up with the actnic lights and when the day lights kick on it is fully upward like in these photos. But when night comes and the day lights go out and the actnic are still on the leather starts to lean over and eventually by the time the actnics go out it is all the way on its side laying totally horizontal. Anyone know why? Thank in advace for any and all help.

    My leathers often lay down at night. If the coral seems to be fine other than it lays down at night then I wouldnt worry about it.

    Yep, pretty common. All animals have to sleep to conserve energy while they're not taking it in.

    Its fine, mines done that forever.. as long as u get polyps extention During the day..a-ok

    Thanks you all, the polyps do come out during the day all day, so I guess it's in good shape then.

    The heavier the crown gets the more they tip at night. Mine does the same thing it's about 8" across with a 6" stalk.;)
