I have a yellow Figi leather that has grown from 2 inch diameter to over 8 inches and I am wondering if and how to frag it? Anyone have any experience with this? Can you provide guidance? I can post a close up pic if it will help.
    Thanks in advance!

You frag it the same way you would a toadstool. Just use some really sharp scissors or a scalpel and cut 1"-2"sections of the cap off. Then you can gently rubber band the frags to discs or rubble and hope they take. after they have healed and attached, you can bag one up and send it my way ;D

I have never tried it but from reading up on it; you can cut it like taking a slice of pie. Cut a slice from opposite sides, I think eventually those will seal back up. Take the slices and glue to a piece of rock rubble.

Thank you guys for the info.. If I am brave enough I will give it a try soon. Otherwise, I may wait until it gets too large and I am force to cut to see my tank! I have used a scalpel in the past but can I also get scissors / clippers to do it?

Yes, as stated, if you have a real sharp scissors, you don't want to tear the flesh but rather a nice clean cut. How about a pic, I would like to see it. There may be other options.

A pic would definitely help put things into context! Our resident "pros" and seasoned folk can better help you if they can see what you are dealing with.

Grats on having such a nice happy coral that actually got too big! It will be awesome if you can successfully frag it :)

I frag my toadstool top with a sharp scissors. I snip 1-2" pieces off the edges. The problem I have now is that the stalk is too long, I'm not sure I'm brave enough to cut that, but it's so long I don't have a choice, I'll be cutting it this wknd.

    Here's what I do...
I cut a clear water bottle in half, poke some holes in the bottom half to allow water movement, throw in some rock rubble then throw in a frag and put it down in the tank, after about a week they usually attach to a piece of rock.
