I'm happy to report that my yellow polyps are splitting like crazy. When I first purchased this assorted piece it came with a ton of YP's. They were either eaten or, died. Within the last two weeks I've gone from 2-10. Also my ZO's are making new homes on my LR. mushrooms are also spreading. The addition of my fuge has done a noticeable change to my tank along with my R.O. unit.

Please post some pics to share with us! ;)

You are lucky...have never had much luck with yellow polyps in my tank. Either something likes to eat them, or they don't get the right things to eat. :-/

I love yellow polyps, they look beautiful in any flow.
I got a frag of about 7 from my friend, and within 2 weeks they were up to 12.

Then on a dark and stormy night, i woke up and found the frag rock popped out of its crevice, and nearly stripped of polyps!! As i search the tank for newly fattened members, i realize whodunit.

The same culprit who has been cutting little pieces of my mushrooms off, trying to wear them like a hat, The Decorator Crab!

He now has about 7 left attached on his legs and head, and the stumps on the frag rock are growing back into new polyps. I made sure to secure the little buggers better this time :)

they love strontium and iodide additives, and planktonic size foods.

    posting pics

I've been having trouble posting pics for some reason. I am dying to figure it out. Please help me figure it out. Camera setting? It's telling me that I'm exceeding the max allowable limit.
