i have a yellow tail blue damsel...had for about 4 months...last night he was acting strange...kind of laying on sand bottom and would take his rear tail fin and stir up sand..

he has been eating well...no spots...on him or either of my clowns...water chemistry in normal range...anybody ever seen this?

    just curious...seems ok today...

    thanks

Maybe scratching? Maybe stirring up food from the sandbed?

Probably just digging in the sandbed. My yellow tail usually doesnt do it, but my old blue would do it like mad.

As long as it keeps eating it should be fine. watch for white spots or velvet like appearence on the scales.
