I'm not sure if the Yellowtail Damsel is going to work.. He's been in there for the entire cycle. Now that I've added new fish he thinks he owns the tank. My small fish seem to stay on the far side, the Regal and Yellow tang don't seem to mind him too much even though he attacks them. They sorta ignore him. Funny he's by far the smallest thing in the tank.
Trying to get him out would be a huge pain. 250lbs of rock in there.

hmmm. You could try a trap. Good luck, never worked for my damsel's. Bigger peices of food in a large net might be worth a try. If all else fails you could try like a small #12 hook and line.
How bad is the fighting? How long has it been since you added the other fish? Fish will set-up territories, thats just the way it is. You may try adding something that will kick his @$$, lol. Like clowns. My clowns keep my YT in check but dont seem to harass anyone else, lol

I added everthing at once today. Yellow Tang, Regal, 2 Bangaii, 2 True Percula. I haven't seen the Y tail attack anyone but the Yellow Tang. That's when he gets in his rock area. For the most part everyone stays on the other half of the tank. The Tangs and one Bangaii go all over , but stay out of his rock area. hehe
I didn't know Bangaii school but they do sometimes. Pretty cool. One LFS told me they do and one told me they don't , but mine do.

Damsels can be very nasty. Yellow tail blue damsels are on the passive side, but they can still be extremely aggressive. If I were you I would follow one of a couple paths. You could try to stay away from small fish, as larger ones will probably be able to stick up for themselves better. You could get a few small fish and hope that this damsel will stick to his half of the tank and the other small ones can flock to the other side. IMO, you should try to get him out. It will be a huge pain, but you will thank yourself later when you don't have a damsel terrorizing the tank.

Yep, I'm going to buy a fish trap. My clowns won't leave their corner. They just stay there staring at the wall swimming vertically. All the fish generally stay on the far side while the Damsel is on his half of the tank. The YTang and Regal swim all over, but still for the most part camp out on the friendly side of the tank. I bet if I take him out the Bangaiis and clowns would start swimming around the tank more.

Make your own trap, dont buy one. Theres a couple of threads here on how to do it. No sense in spending money on something that theres a good chance of not working
