I have a 450g tank and about a month ago I added a pair of Auriga bfs. My yellow tang beat them up pretty bad so I removed him and he has since been living in my 110 fuge. He ate all my macro so fast so I need him gone. Either gonna sell him or give him one last shot in the dt. The bfs are now eating like crazy and are actually kinda aggressive. Do you guys think this could work or should I just sell the tang?

that tank sounds like a beast at 450g with 110fuge, I'd love to see pics!

For the problem you're having, it sounds pretty common where Tangs get very aggresive once they claim territory. Although that is a huge tank so not sure why he was going after them with all that space. How big is the Tang? How big were the Aurigas?

If you wanted to attempt to put the Tang back in, I would def try to re-arrange the tank so everyone is confused and territory has to be re-claimed. I know how much a pita Tangs are to catch so maybe think about it a bit before you decide. It's possible he may go after them again, you never know completely. I had to make some annoying decisions like that by removing bullies so harmony was restored to my tank.

    Good luck either way!

Well last time i had to remove all 300pnds of rock to get the tang, so this timeI made I made a divider by zip tying bird netting between 2pvc poles, used fishing bobbers as floats for the top of the net and zip tied rubble to the bottom as weights. I stuck the poles in the sand and added the tang to the sectioned off portion of the tank just to see how he would act, everything looked good so I removed the divider. Success! I have had that tang for years and I really didn't want to let him go. As for pics I do not have a half decent camera. I spend my dough on my tank lol. I'm thinking black Friday I will pick up a nice one. Oh yeah yellow is 6 inches bfs are 4 inches.
