So I decided to add a purple tang to my setup which already has a yellow tang.. Boy oh boy this was not a good idea.. The yellow tang will not leave the purple alone. He has already taken bites out of the purples fines... I have put pictures of yellow tangs all over the tank but it's really not helping... I can't catch either of them to take one out.. I'm watching my money go right down the drain.. I guess my question is will the yellow tang ever let up and except the purple? Or do I have no chance?

What size tank? I have a 180 gallon tank and i have 2 yellows and 1 purple, one yellow and the purple are the same size the other yellow is bigger, they have all been added at different times and they fought only the day the new fish was added.....Since then they have been fine and all three swim together

Give them a few more days and see if they can work it out. When I added my tang my dwarf angel beat him up so bad - I thought he was going to kill him. But after a couple days the angel calmed down and they are fine now.

Just turn the lights off whenever you need to!
