I am downsizing my tank to a 29 nano tank, and i have a 6" yellow tang. I want to transfer everything to my smaller tank tonight, but i dont want to leave my tang in there by himself with nothing running. Is it okay if he hangs out in my 29 gallon for a few days till i can sell him?

yes for a while, but it may be less stressful for him to remain in the big tank with a hiding place and a powerhead for surface agitation.

Tangs require a lot of room to move, and are easily stressed if they do not have it. what are your long term plans for the fish. It will stress and die in a 29G nano.

They also need a lot of oxygen and generate a lot of waste. Those needs are harder to keep up in a smaller tank. With the amount of food they eat, that's a lot of nutrients you're dumping in the water.

probably 40 dollars, thats what 2-3 inch one costs, a one that size probably runs 50 dollars. you probably want to be cheaper then the store. also im sure the shape has alot to do with it, people like rounder tangs.

ugh i remember when tangs were 30 dollars

I want tangs with attitude. I recall a Naso at the LFS which was convinced it was the tank bouncer. You show up at the tank it was in, and it was in your face wanting to know who you were, and what you were doing bothering it's tank! Now _that_ is a cool tang!
