So i bought the YWG yesterday that i have been wanting to get, they aslo had a pistol shrimp in a seperate tank but they couldnt capture him as he went into a big conch shell, when they get him im going back to pick him up. Anyways my YWG sat in the bottom of the tank all day yesterday after being put in, untill the lights went out then he started migrating to the top of the tank and staying there, also sitting on my mag float for the most of the night it seems. This morning he was still up there swimming around. I tried to feed last night via pellets and mysis/brine mix through a syringe right in front of him and he did not eat. Is the weird behavior due to him still acclimating or is something else wrong?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
At this point all you can do is allow him to acclimate and make sure no other fish or invert is bullying him and preventing him from going to the sand bed. Not unusual for them to refuse food for a couple days after introduction.

Floated the bag for 15 mins and then added half a cup of water every 10-15 mins for the next 45 mins

So are the YWG's nocturnal fish? He was in is cave for the most part of the day, and now hes back out at the top of the tank. Maybe picking copepods off the glass?
