Yellow watchman did not make it

So my YWG did not make it today. Its been 4days since i bought him and he did not eat anything while in my tank. Im at work right now so i cant check the params. But my 2 clownfish are doing ok and eating still. He also swotched tanks pretty fast so it could have been bad acclimation. He got put in the lfs tank at 9pm n i got him at 10am and had him in my tank after that to much stress from moving?

 

One of the first things I've been asking when inquiring about fish at LFS is

1. How long has it been in the store?
2. Is it eating a healthy amount?
3. What is it eating?

If it hasn't been in the store long enough to become comfortable and begin eating, I ask if they will allow me to put a deposit (pay for the fish) and pick it up after it begins eating. If it won't eat at the store, you'll have a very difficult time when you get it home.

 

I agree with Pastey. Relocating a fish twice that fast esp a fish with particular eating habits is def an issue. I have seen how many LFS receive their fish from shipment and you can see how stressed the fish our just from that. Im actually surprised the LFS wouldnt have warned against it at purchase... Most of the LFS around us will tell people that they wont sell them if they just came in store.
