Yellow Watchman Goby Cranky?

For those of you that have a YWG do yours whip ass on your snails and hermit crabs?

This one will lay peacefully in it's cave unless a snail or hermit crab ventures too close and it strikes out, grabs them and shakes them like a dog with a porch chop and flings them away.

doesn't seem to be any real harm done but this is one crabby ass little fish.

 

I dont have a YWG, but my Bi color Blenny does the same thing! Snail wanders by his hole in the rock, and gets forcefully evicted before it even knows what happened! I think its pretty amusing actually!!

 

it is pretty fun to watch.

I will say that the goby gives the tuxedo urchin a wide berth and lets it stroll right through.

 

I have seen my YWG grab my large female clown by the tail and hang on if she gets too close. It's kind of funny the female clown fish has no fear of me but she shies away from the goby, wish I had that kind of power over the clown fish.

My clowns are the reason I wear rubber gloves when my hand is in the tank.

 

My LMB did that if a nassarius snail with a NLS pellet came to close ... RIP Benny
