I bought a yellow watchman goby 3 days ago, and I still haven't been able to get the little guy to eat.. He was pretty stressed when I first put him into the QT, his color had faded a little bit. Since then he's regained most of his color back, and he looks perfectly fine. No since of ich, or anything else. I think he's probably still a little stressed out.. I've tried some mysis/blood worm mix and these danichi brand sinking pellets my clowns love, but still haven't got the little guy to bite. Has anyone else had this problem with new YWG's or any other fish..? Yall think he will be alright?

Thats how all ywg are very shy fish at first but he'll warm up to you. He is still stressed so he prolly isnt gonna eat til he feels comfortable with his surroundings. They change colors from yellow to dull gray so no worries he is fine. Just give it time and dont worry about him.

my YWG was very shy for about a year. He would stay under a rock with his head barely poking out and would disappear as soon as I walked up to the tank. Sometimes he wouldnt eat for days at a time. Now all of the sudden he's swimming around the tank, sifting through sand and is much more active in general. I dont know what it is about these guys. They are very shy fish but when hey finally do get used to the tank they have a great personality.

Have had mine about three weeks. Ate from day one, but was in hiding all the time. Now he doesn't run and hide as much but still stays near his cave. [kinda like somebody the marines just dropped in the ocean] Anyways they are still a fun addition to the reef. I got some free food from I.O. seaweed blend gel nice stuff not sure its worth 10.00 but Goby dude loves it.
