So I purchased a yellow watchman from my LFS a few months ago. Have never really seen him out an about the tank, untill tonight. I was sitting there watching tv looked over and i seen him poke his head out. I walked over to the tank to watch and it moved back into its Live rock and sand burrow it has made in the new tank. Now i am sitting here and he has came out all the way an filtering the sand. HE does not come out far and dosent stay long. Is this normall behavior? Well my timmer just timed and now moon lights are on, so makes it hard to see him, Thanks for any input

Yup, totally normal. They just like to pop in and out of their cave just long enough to make a funny face at you.:D

I guess I have an abnormal watchman. Mine is out and about constantly, is very friendly, and comes up to the front of the tank and kind of quivers / shakes his tail like a little dog or something to greet me. Very enjoyable little fish. Always skipping across the sand and has several little caves all over the tank.
