Here is a clip of my Yellow Wrasse going to bed...Same place and same time every night.
Its a 2 and a half minute clip, and he goes in the sand at around the 2:15 mark...prior to doing this he kicks up the sand all over the tank...I don't know why.
I sure think all the other fish...especially the tang, know that the camera is on....just ham'n it up for the camera.
But for those of you who think you have lost a fish for awhile...this is proof that they deep dive in the sand bed.
I will try to get one some morning when he wakes and see how that looks.
    Hope you enjoy.

    LG

One thing my LFS owner said when getting our pistol and goby out of one of their tanks was "When animals get stressed...anything that can go in the sand, will. This is going to be fun." He ended up pulling every rock from the tank to get at those two guys. And my pistol recently to it upon himself to bury the entrance to one of his little caves...with the goby in the cave. Or at least, that's where he was before I noticed the entrance covered up. Stupid shrimp. It's like leaving your seeing eye dog in your car while you go walking in the park. Hopefully the goby comes out.

That was a cool vid. We're thinking about a wrasse of some sort for our next fish.
