i don't get it though last night i tried to fire them up for a test trial and nothing happened. This is my first MH set up so i have no clue what i'm doing. i need your guys help. I plugged the ballast into the wall and then i plugged the ballast into the pendant by matching the green-green plug and black-black plug and white-white plug. I put the bulb in and nothing happened. I'm not sure if i put the bulb in right but i need some help.

no theres no switch. never mind i figured it out but thanks for trying. I put the bulb in crooked and it must of not made full contact with the socket.

what should i use to install and hang the MH pendants. I've heard some people say like lamp type hooks or heavy duty plant hooks. I'm not sure what to use. Somebody else said to make sure u use drywall anchors. Can u guys help me.

It depends on how heavy they are. If it is less than 5 pounds you could use toggle bolts. If it is more than 10 pounds I would definitely find the wooden stud in your ceiling and use a threaded eye bolt for support. If the ceiling joist is far away from where you want to hang it then you could cut a piece of wood and nail it between the joists (wooden beams) That's what I do when I hang a heavy ceiling fan.
If the attic is inaccessible I would move the tank :) Or you could do like Matt did and use a light pole to hang them from. or put them in a tall canopy. I'm sure other people will have different ideas.. How about people? Any Ideas?

Diver you hit it on the nose. Get one of those stud finders that buzz or light up when you move it across a studd. If you have 2 lights I would do the 2by4 across like Diver said. This gives you a heavy board to hang them from and you can move them around like you want them and still have a place to put the hook. Sounds great. Cant wait to see the pictures. Hows Vancouver BTW? Rain I bet ;D ...it always rained when I lived there. Hey Hottielover have you been to that seahorse place yet? Over in Portland.

I make sure that you get those 14K's. Let me now if you end up liking the 20K though. Glad you got them fired!
