i would put in 2 14000K bulbs and 2 actinics. it would really be awsome. everything would glow in there. like a sps coral, a clam, or a brain. I might drill the holes to hang them tonight and i might hang them tomarrow or maybe tonight if its not to late.

I run a 10000K MH and 2 Actinic 03 VHO's...I love the look. The VHO s are so bright...really for the blue light. I like the look. I have the actinics come on first and go off last.

If by the clear plastic cover thing you mean "crimp connector insulator"
I would cut the wires, strip them and use a "wire nut" connector. Black tape is a good insulator but it tends to melt down and get real gooey and sticky under high temperatures. A picture would help...

Sometimes I forget where I am and what I am doing. "I" work in an engineering department and splice wires and cables and work on equipment on a daily basis. Not "all" people are comfortable doing this kind of work. So like fletch said "give Darin at captivereefs a call or email him about it" It all depends on where your comfort level is. Good Luck, Jim

Diver_1298 I am sorry :-[ I didn't mean to sound like you told him to do the wrong thing! It is just that he just bought them and why have your cables spliced and taped on a brand new light :-/. ................. John
