No, your tank is already overstocked as it is.

A copperband will need lots of live rock to graze on, so maybe increase your amount of live rock and then let it get nice and established first.

^ Ditto.. Dont buy.. yet. copperbands are difficult to take care of and they need an established tank.
plus, i would never buy from a store that wont show me if their fish is eating. I dont care what they tell me. If i dont see, i dont buy.

I took 50% of the rock from my 30g so it's got like 30-35 lbs of rock that's bin in my tank for 2 years now

    +1

if you cant see the fish feeding, your taking a gamble that you will be able to get it to feed
its a great fish, dont get me wrong but 60 bucks is a lot to risk on a fish that has a reputation for not doing that well in a number of hobbyists tanks

if it was a feeder, and you saw it feeding, I would say if you like the fish then go for it
but if they will not feed it in front of you, that in itself tells me all I need to know

that doesnt make your 75G tank established.
there is always die off and IMO 30lbs of rock isnt really enough..

Honestly, even if you buy him when he is eating...Copperbands are for the experienced hobbyist..
I took on the challenge and i was doing pretty well, i dare say he was eating more than my tangs, but since i went to college only my mom was there to take care of my tank. it isnt really her fault because not even i can figure out what happen so... ( she isnt a noob anymore.. kinda lol, she has been taking care of my fish for 6+ months now).

she said that one day, it just stopped eating and there was nothing in the world she could give him that would make him eat. ( i give my fish 5 different sources of food soaked in garlic 2x a day)..

so, yeah, if he doesnt show you him eating...there is a lot to be said. ESPECIALLY on a CBB..
