If they won't feed it in front of you then it doesn't eat the food as far as I would be concerned.

I had a regal angel fish some years ago for about 12 weeks before it starved to death
it would not take any prepared/ frozen foods
it would not eat them even when I smeared them onto live rock pieces to try and stimulate its natural feeding method
it survived for 12 weeks or so, grazing on whatever it found on my live rock, sponges etc
but eventually they ran out, and it starved to death

it may be the same copperband they had 7 weeks ago
it may be a replacement copperband they have had for less than 7 weeks
( most fish of the same species look so similar its hard to tell if its the exact same fish)

    honestly overstocked
if this fish was OK, they would be delighted to let you feed it!

So you took half of the LR out of your overstocked tank and put it in a 75. Your fish in the 31G are going to be keeling over soon...

Your 75 is not established and 35lbs is not enough for it.

Your going to buy the CBB either way so why ask?

    That is SO TELLING!!!

any fish of that cost or caliber, I would not buy without witnessing it feed. any store that will not feed at my request will not get my business. bar none. our LFS is really good about feeding them on request.

also, even a 75 is almost too small for a foraging fish like the CBB. even if it is eating prepared foods, it will forage for most of its diet.

They still had him on boxing day and I got him for 50% off + a 25$ gift card so like 15$
Idk know I got a lot of other things to NOT LIVE.

They had extra people working that day and I asked and they feed him and he ate blood worms and mysis like my yellow tang I had
