I wasnt told this but, over heard this girl telling a couple looking at a fox face rabbit that it was normal for his eyes to turn white he was fine. I didnt think glazed over eyes was good but they asked her, so they must of had a hint that it wasnt either.

Went to the LFS, and there's a brand new display with ~20 10 gallon low-profile tanks with cuts in the top to skim, live sand, and all drained down to a MAJOR ~50 gallon UBER-SUMP. Really nice setup, and they are planning to put frags in the tanks...

Except that since every tank was in the same closed system, and the frags came complete with aiptasia, and green hair algae, which promptly took over. I mean THOUSANDS of heads of aiptasia, and a general green fuzz everywhere.

Needless to say I'll be looking for frags elsewhere, and I think they're going to end up with peppermint shrimp the size of lobsters.

This same store had good liverock it would be loaded with corals on them. I pay them 8 bucks for a pound of rock with colonies on it. Use to go there once a month to look at the rock. Now they wont put the rocks in there untill they remove them lol. I guess they figured out thats why i wasnt buying corals from their frag tank.

with some stores, you just need to learn who you can trust. Some have one or two people who know what they are talking about and the rest are just kids who are just looking for a paycheck.......you know you are in the wrong lfs when he sells you a coral and food. Then a month later, the same guy tells you it is the wrong food for that coral and tries to sell you something else.

When I went to petco for dog food, I decided to look at their saltwater livestock. About 95% of their fish had Ich. I got the most experienced fish person there, and here's what she said: "it's just from rubbing up against rocks(in a lot of tanks there weren't any rocks), and it will heal over time." I went to look at the freshwater fish, and the Oscars all had that hole in the head disease.

This is surely true!!! It's also a dead giveaway if all fish are sold by the pound.
