    When your central a/c goes down and you spend 400 bucks on an in room a/c unit to cool the tank,but not the rest of the house.....(will be returned when a/c in back on line..thanks costco for loaning me an a/c unit..lol)

    oooh, i thought of another one!

    ....when you have a power outage and you hook the generator up to run the fridge and the aquarium...

    true story! i lost power last week and before i got my generator up and running, i pulled the car up to the front door, plugged an extension cord into the power inverter, and ran the aquarium pumps off the car!

    I can relate to just about every single one of these posts...

    I'll add a few...

    ...when you start giving away frags of expensive/rare corals.

    ...when you flood the house, it's no big deal (just happened again today, lol).

    ...when you make 3 trips to lowes/home depot/ hardware store to get just the right fittings/hoses/etc in one day (this happened today as well).

    ...when at said store you avoid discussing your plans with salespeople so as to avoid confusing them and getting that look that says "wa-huh?".

    ...when you know those salespeople by name and they're happy to help you cut 1 ft lengths of tubing.

    ...when your LFS "expert" puts what they're doing aside to ask YOU for advice on their tank.

    ...when your wife rolls her eyes every time you say "Come in here and look at this!"

    DEFINITELY!! My husband asked what I wanted for our anniversary and I said coral lol!!

    Very true. I HATED chemistry

    My dog tries to sit between me and the tank lol

    I do this all the time!! I always ask my husband what he wants so he doesn't get so mad about the tank! lol I let him pick out a coral, which will be a brain coral and a bubble coral as those are his favorites.

    Mine is: you know you're a saltwater hobbyist when you can travel to all your LFS in one day to "look" at the fish :)

    And also when you get sad that it's time for your moonlights to turn on because you can't stare at your tank any longer

    When you walk into any doctor's office you wonder "where is their fishtank?"

    Oh here's a good one: When you have a religious fish sticker on your car and people ask if I have a fish because I am the "fish girl" LOL!!

    when your out and about and u see a fish tank , and all you can think of is how to politely and not creepily ask to see the plumbing/sump -.-
