You will absolutely 100% not regret it. :)

I recommend Premium Aquatics or AquaCave when you purchase, or check out the ReefCentral selling forums - I got a good deal on 2 used and then picked up the third new at Premium Aquatics. I am using Vertex 250 ballasts - very satisfied with them. LumaTek was my other choice - if you get the LumaTeks it's a direct plug to the Lumen Max, otherwise, you need to re-wire the end like I did.

Clean looking build. I look forward to the plumbing pics. Is that my favorite bottle I see in the tank?

    Looks great!

Saw on RC that the backlight on your Apex went out. Did you figure out why?

    Thanks man!

Nope. Not yet, I was a bit irritated by that. Curt had me check a few settings to make sure I wasn't an idiot (day / night brightness settings). Everything is maxed out though and he'll be in touch with me again tomorrow, I'm sure it will be no problem getting it replaced. He's a good guy.

Looking great. Those halides are awesome. Pretty soon I'm gonna change out my odyssea bulbs for some of those Phoenix 14K's. I heard that they're super blue and super bright.

Cool.... getting wet. I do like my Pheonix 14Ks. Lots to like, but I'm curious about others. I might try a Ushio 12k and try to get more growth. Right now I want my tank to grow out so I might help it. Plus then I can decide if I like the blue or not. I know I like them now, and know I don't wan to go the 20K route, perhaps when my tank is grown out and all I care about is color.

My friend in town gets great growth, incredible actually, with 20k Radiums. His SPS grows quicker than some people's Xenia, and has neon colors.
