I can't wait to see pics of yours set up. I have no idea what I'm going to put in mine yet. Probably similar to your choice, easy!
Oh, and the filter isn't sticking out anymore lol oops
You should paint the back of yours before setting it up, I wish I had done that. I'm going to to get some backing for it because the wires and stuff are distracting.

My 8g Biocube has been doing great. 8g is a lie imo as displacement and such sap it down to actually 4-5. I am and have always bordered on overstocked. Water change, water changes, water changes. I do 2g every Saturday or Sunday without fail. I have been known to overfeed on occasion too :). your HOB will be fine. I'd drop a Koralia Nano in with a 4 position dimmer. Has to be set positions that cut the electricity down instead of a normal dimmer. Home Depot sells em for $14ish.

    Good Luck!

I will be painting the back either black or dark blue, and will be using a maxi-jet mp40 (106gph) for additional flow.

I'm going to be using nice fiji rock pieces (nice and porous with interesting shapes) to build up a couple rock mounds and do a small arched setup.

Still up in the air on whether or not to do a goby. I'm leaning towards just corals. I may upgrade the light to a current dual satellite 36 watt PC for lighting which should expand the possibilities for corals. http://cgi.ebay.com/Current-Dual-Sa...-36-Watts_W0QQitemZ260407852250QQcmdZViewItem

The star polyps I put on the LED light I suggested you are looking really good. Fully open and happy. That light gives on a very nice halide like shimmer as well. Might be worth thinking about.

    Awesome!

How's the coloring on the light? Whitish, blue, etc? Is it nice and bright? Also, how is the coverage - good reflectors? Post a pic up if you could :)

    Thanks!

Okay, Zach, when do we pick it up? :p

I live closer! I'll just drive up and get it!

How about a shrimp/goby pair? I love to watch my tiger pistol shimp/yellow watchman goby bulldozing the tank!

Officially doing corals only in this tank. Putting a Koralia nano in there for additional flow, painting the background blue this weekend and finishing the rockwork.
